Quantum Monte Carlo Methods for Warm Dense Matter

David Ceperley
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Two direct quantum simulation method have been developed and applied to warm dense matter, namely restricted Path Integral Monte Carlo and Coupled Electron Ion Monte Carlo. I will outline these methods and their domains of applicability. Recent applications of these methods have been to dense hydrogen and to the electron gas.
