Entanglement Sources for High-Speed QKD

This talk reviews sources of entangled photons based on spontaneous parametric downconversion in nonlinear crystals and waveguides, with a focus on their quality of entanglement, generation rates, and photon-pair extraction efficiencies. We will examine their spatial and spectral properties and wavelength selection for high-speed QKD operation.
