We are interested in understanding how the genome constructs the brain, in both health and disease. To achieve this goal we are developing technologies for high throughput multimodality acquisition of expression patterns pertaining to all relevant biomolecular domains, including the transcriptome. These technologies combine the mathematical concepts of biomedical imaging with the high throughput analytic tools of genomics. The ultimate goal of our research is to decode the logic by which the genome gives rise to the neuronal wiring diagram of the brain.
