How can one design the patterns of folds on a sheet of paper that will allow it to take up an arbitrary shape ?
How can one understand the folds on the surface of our brain ? I will discuss our experimental, theoretical and computational attempts to address these forward and inverse problems that are paradigmatic of partial order in low-dimensional soft matter.
