Milestoning

Ron Elber
University of Texas at Austin

I will describe how the theory and algorithm of Milestoning can be used to compute free energy surfaces, mean first passage time, iso-committor surfaces, and other definitions of the reaction coordinate on small model systems and on systems that are not so small. I will also discuss the theory of exact Milestoning, which is an exact procedure that iterates the flux results of the original version of the Milestoning theory.
