We will review the measure rigidity results obtained in joint work with Anatole Katok and Lindenstrauss. After discussing briefly the established tools of high and low entropy we will describe the method of transport of entropy. This method can be used in cases where the acting group is smaller than the full Cartan subgroup and that were previously unattainable.
