To assess BGP's dynamic behavior and its fault tolerance we
Analyzed the BGP measurement data collected at Oregon Route-View and RIPE.
In this talk I will present some of our discoveries from the study. We
learned that simple protocol properties can lead to seemingly complex
behavior under stressful conditions, that benign protocol implementation
choices may result in undesirable performance cost, and that unexpected
events can also make the protocol implementation fail in unexpected ways.
