An overview is given of some of the observation relating to nonlinear propagation of very intense pulses of light in air, Complex numerical calculations have been solved numerically. There is a lack of understanding of the fundamental properties of the equations involved. For instance, it is not clear under which condition the spatial and temporal problem can be separated. Depending on the experimental condition, one could have simultaneously spatial and temporal solitons in the propagation of UV pulses.
