Reconstruction Methods in Optical Tomography

In this talk I will compare algorithms for reconstruction of spatially-varying
optical absorbtion and scattering images from measurements of transmitted
light through highly scattering media. The problem is posed in terms of
non-linear optimisation, and the principle method is the solution of the
forward problem using Finite Elements, and linearisation using the adjoint
field method.

Some comparison of reconstruction efficiencies will be given, and results using
simulated and measured phantom data
