We will discuss the inverse scattering problem of determining the
support of an anisotropic media from a knowledge of the electromagnetic
far field pattern at a fixed frequency. In particular we will give a
uniqueness theorem for the support of the anisotropic media, discuss
the electric and magnetic interior transmission problem and then justify
the linear sampling method for determing the support. In addition we
exhibit a target signature obtainable from the electromagnetic far field
pattern that allows one to distinguish a perfect conductor from a coated
anisotropic dielectric.
