We address the problem of detecting
acoustic obstacles in a bounded domain using a
point-source reciprocity gap function.
This function is defined by taking point-sources
in the exterior domain as test functions of the
reciprocity gap functional. There is a direct relation
between the analytic extension of this function
and the double layer potential defined on the crack
which can be used for some characterization and
detection of the crack.
