Merger of binary neutron stars with realistic equations of state

Latest numerical simulations for the merger of binary neutron stars in full general relativity with realistic equations of state are presented. In this talk, I focus on the outcome after the merger, criterion for massive neutron star formation and its dependence on equations of state, and gravitational waveforms. In particular, I point out that the detection of signal of gravitational waves from formed massive neutron stars will be possible in the advanced laser interferometers and may lead to constraining the equations of state for neutron stars. If time permits, I would like to introduce our latest effort for fully general reltivisitc MHD simulation.
