Morphology, Kinematics and Dynamics of Wrinklesomes

I will discuss the morphology of wrinkled partially polymerized membranes using AFM and Small Angle Neutron scattering (SANS). I will complement these studies with the dynamics of wrinkling which show how the morphology is dictated by the dynamics. We will show how the kinematics follow a hierarchical nucleation of folds like the nucleation of smaller whirls in a turbulent flow.
