The Geometry of Spin Glasses

A. Middleton
Syracuse University

I will give an introduction to models of Ising spin glass models and define the geometry of their domain walls. The domain walls are important for studying the dynamics and statics of spin glasses: they are believed to be described by a fractal dimension and their dynamics are glassyl. I will present the results of extensive numerical simulations that support uniqueness of the large volume limit in spin glasses and the description of domain walls in two dimensions by a stochastic Loewner evolution.
