Phenomenology of social dynamics

Social dynamics is characterized by a lack of empirical data that could test the reliability of existing models. In particular, a quantitative characterization of large social groups is difficult to achieve. In this talk we shall examine the present status of the quantitative phenomenology of social dynamics, with a focus on election data and a look into the future.
