Agents as nodes in a fuzzy simplicial set

David Spivak

Simplicial complexes have been used to study networks for some time. I will explain this idea and its relevance to modeling behavior. I will also present a mild generalization, namely fuzzy simplicial sets, as a way of encoding ideas such as proximity/distance, trust/distrust, and clarity/noisiness. Finally, I'll talk about how one might use this kind of model to study how networks process information.
