Using cloud-resolving model and multiscale modeling framework to address climate-change problem

Marat Khairoutdinov
SUNY Stony Brook

The talk will demonstrate the application of a cloud-resolving model
(CRM) to variety of problems associated with the role of clouds in the global climate system, from 100 meter resolution simulation of meso-scale organization of convection in the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), to cloud-resolving simulations of global general circulation with the Multi-scale Modeling Framework (MMF).
