Sums of squares relaxations for Convex Hulls of Semialgebraic Sets

Sums of squares of polynomials offer useful approximations to the convex hull of a semialgebraic set via Lasserre-type relaxations. This talk will present an overview of recent developments in the study of these relaxations, with a particular focus on convex hulls of algebraic varieties, towards a deeper understanding of the geometry of these relaxations and their asymptotic behavior.
