Guillermo Sapiro

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) has announced the 2013 Class of SIAM Fellows. Fellows are chosen for their exemplary research and service to the community that advances the fields of applied mathematics and computational science. The list includes David Levermore (Kinetic Transport 2009, Plasma Physics 2012, Science Advisory Board), Shi Jin (Kinetic Transport 2009), Guillermo Sapiro (Random Shapes 2007), Qiang Du (Cells and Materials 2006, Materials Defects 2012), plus several others who have given talks at IPAM workshops.
