2nd Southern California Applied Mathematics Symposium (SoCAMS-II)May 4, 2002Organizing Committee:
Michael Holst
(University of California at San Diego)
IntroductionThe purpose of this Symposium is to bring together applied mathematicians in southern California and to promote interactions among them. The Symposium is intended to be informal and relaxing -- and to provide plenty of time for discussions and social gathering. We especially encourage graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty to participate and to establish possible future collaborations.
This Symposium is being hosted by the Institute for
Pure and Applied Mathematics at UCLA and we gratefully acknowledge
additional support from the UCLA Division of Physical Sciences.
