Via Bus | Via Taxi | Via Shuttle

Below you will find information on several transportation options. For transportation between UCLA and LAX, we recommend the FlyAway Express Bus.

VIA BUS:

The UCLA Campus Shuttle system runs weekdays 7 am to 7 pm (excluding holidays) and arrive at stops approximately every 8-10 minutes. One route provides round-trip service from northeast campus to Westwood Village. The shuttle stop closest to IPAM is located across the street from Murphy Hall on Charles E. Young Dr. (look for the Campus Shuttle sign)

The LAX FlyAway Express Bus shuttles passengers between LAX and Westwood Village on the hour and half hour, from 5 am to 1 am. The cost is $4.00. In Westwood village, look for the FlyAway sign on Kinross Ave, at Parking Structure 32. The bus makes curbside stops at every airport terminal. For more information, go to www.lawa.org/lax/LAXflyAway.cfm. Upon arrival, you can walk or take the UCLA Campus Shuttle to IPAM or your hotel.

The Big Blue Bus ( www.bigbluebus.com) serves West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Routes 1, 2, 3, and 8 pick up at the corner of Hilgard and Westholme (a short walk from IPAM) and can take you to the Santa Monica and Venice beaches, the Third Street Promenade, and other areas with shops and restaurants. Bus 3 also goes to LAX Lot C, where you can pick up the parking shuttle to the airport terminal. The cost is $0.75 per trip, or just $0.25 with a UCLA ID.

The Metro Bus (www.mta.net) serves most of LA. Take the Metro 720 (Wilshire Blvd. at Westwood Blvd.) westbound towards Santa Monica or eastbound to downtown Los Angeles. Metro Bus 2 eastbound (Hilgard Ave. at Westholme Ave.) will take you into Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles. The base fare is $1.25 per trip.
