Group Actions and Symbolic Dynamics of Julia Sets

I will talk about applications of bisets and groups acting on rooted trees to the study of topology and symbolic dynamics of Julia sets. Examples will include Julia sets of multi-dimensional maps, mating of one-dimensional rational functions, and Peano curves.
