The Floorplan Design Problem

The enormous complexity of VLSI circuits and systems necessitates the use of hierarchial approaches. Floorplanning tools are needed to determine the locations of all circuit blocks within each hierarchy of the design. In this talk, I shall present our recent contributions on this problem.
