The Stochastic Boussinesq Equations and Connections with Turbulent Convection

We review recent results establishing ergodic and mixing properties of the Boussinesq Equations with a (spatially) degenerate random perturbation. Various physically relevant boundary conditions are considered in this study. Several asymptotics
problems within the class of invariant measures will also be discussed.
