New Trends in Scientific Computing
Optimization, Shape analysis, High-dimensional differential equations in science and Engineering, and machine learning Research (OSHER)
In the past decade, one has witnessed tremendous advancement in both mathematical theory and numerical methods in areas of OSHER. In honor of Stan’s 80th birthday, this conference will cover recent progress and point out new directions. It will emphasize the crucial role of mathematical insights in designing advanced algorithms and methodologies applicable to novel real-world applications.
This conference will be held at IPAM, UCLA on April 20-22, 2022. It will include invited speakers ranging from mathematicians to engineers and scientists in the related fields. Contributed poster presentations and participation from young scientists and graduate students are strongly encouraged.
A focused issue in the journal “Communications on Applied Mathematics and Computation” (https://www.springer.com/journal/42967) will be dedicated to this conference.
