Projection Formalism and Effective Dynamics for Stochastic Dynamics

In this talk, I will present the projection formalism to coarse grain stochastic dynamics driven by an Ito diffusion. I will discuss how the approximation quality of the reduced dynamics depends on the choice of reaction coordinates and show some of my own work on the topic.
