Duality and topological strings

In this lecture I will discuss dualities of open and closed topological
strings. The basic example is a duality conjectured by Gopakumar and
Vafa in the context of topological A-model. This is related by mirror
symmetry to recently proposed dualities of Dijkgraaf and Vafa in the
B-model. The open-closed string dualities provide a way to calculate
topological string amplitudes to all genera, exactly.
