I will discuss combinatorics of higher-dimensional partitions which generalize the ordinary (1-dimensional) integer partitions and (2-dimensional) plane partitions. I will present their history, open problems and several recent results including some explicit generating functions and asymptotic bounds. Based on joint work with Alimzhan Amanov.
