Virtual Talk: Challenges and options for beyond General Relativity explorations

The search for extensions to General Relativity has given rise to a number of physically well motivated options which collide with mathematical pathologies which are serious impediments for their exploration. I will discuss some of these pathologies, and one particular, pragmatic, option to address them.
