Some limit problems for fractional order operators

I will speak about some limit problems involving fractional-order non-local operators. They appear when modeling phase transitions or crystal dislocations, for instance, as boundary reactions. The common tool in all these settings is a characterization of the operator through an extension problem to one more dimension.
