DMFT and Beyond: From Quantum Impurities to High Temperature Superconductors

I will present recent progress on Dynamical Mean Field Theory (DMFT) and its cluster extensions. I will discuss the method and some applications, e.g. to the nodal-antinodal dichotomy in the normal and the superconducting phase of cuprate superconductors.
