Abstract

Multiscale analysis of topological insulators

Alexis Drouot

Columbia University

Topological insulators are materials that block energy transport in their bulk, but support robust conduction along boundaries/interfaces.
In this talk, I will consider a continuous two-scale model for topological insulators.
I will discuss its applications towards the bulk-edge correspondence: the bulk structure prescribes the edge conductivity.
