Advances in Analytical Circuit Placement

In this talk, I'll first discuss the needs and trends of large-scale circuit placement. Then, I'll discuss the latest progress on efficient gradient computation to support global density smoothing, choice of different local density smoothing, support of mixed-size placement, and thermal-driven 3D placement. Most of results in this talk are obtained jointly with Dr. Guojie Luo at Peking University.
