Blow up phenomenon in the energy space for the critical generalized KdV equation

This work is in collaboration with Prof. F. Merle. We prove
the existence of a large class of solutions of the critical generalized
KdV equation that blow up in finite time in the energy space.
We give a blow up profile information as well as an upper bound on the
blow up rate.
