Electronic Structure Models with 2d Symmetries in the presence of a uniform magnetic field

In this talk, we will present a characterization of self-adjoint operators that commute with magnetic translations. This characterization allows us to derive a reduced model for the energy of a magnetic Hartree Fock system. In addition, we derive the semi-classical expression of the kinetic energy density in 2d and 3d in the presence of a unform magnetic field. This work is done in collaboration with Salma Lahbabi (Hassan II University of Casablanca) and Abdallah Maichine (Mohammed V University Rabat).
