Multiscale modeling of polymeric fluids

The dynamics of polymeric fluids is studied using the multiscale methods developed recently by Ren and E. It is well known that polymeric fluids have complex constitutive relations and boundary conditions. In the multiscale method, we solve the conservation laws for the macro-scale flow field, and calculate the stress and boundary condition using the underlying microscopic model, e.g. molecular dynamics. In the talk, we will discuss
the details of the multiscale method and its error analysis.
