RIPS-Los Angeles students Tram Pham (pictured) and her teammates Lucius Bynum, Laura Daines, and Sneha Kudugunta, who were not able to attend, won an Outstanding Presentation Award at the Undergraduate Student Poster Session of the 2017 Joint Mathematics Meetings for their poster entitled, “Side-Channel Attacks and Countermeasure Characterization”. The project sponsor was AMD, and their academic mentor was Alejandro Morales. The Joint Mathematics Meeting took place in Atlanta, GA, on January 4-7, 2017. Many students who were part of the 2016 Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) program presented their research at the conference.
