Adapting QEC circuits to dropout using LUCI

As we scale quantum computers beyond the scale of NISQ systems, we will need to start using chips that have some defective components, known as dropouts. In this talk, I will describe a series of works that we've put out in the last two years discussing this issue, and improving the techniques via which we can adapt surface code circuits to dropout.
