On a Higher Order Non-Local Equation Arising in the Modeling of Hydraulic Fractures

We discuss the properties and describe some existence results for an equation arising in the modeling of hydraulic fractures. The equation under consideration is a parabolic degenerate non-local equation, interpolation between the porous media equation and the thin film equation.
