Multiscale Design System - Theory, Applications and Software Demonstrations

Jacob Fish
Columbia University

This talk will present a multiscale design system (MDS) for various heterogeneous material systems, which integrates multiphysics-multiscale analysis capabilities for life prediction, with inverse analysis capabilities for model calibration and validation and stochastic analysis capabilities for design reliability. The MDS has been successfully deployed in aerospace industry (Lockheed, Rolls-Royce, GE), automotive industry (GM) and various DoD applications. The talk will include a brief theoretical overview, applications and software demonstrations.
