This talk introduces some common supervised and unsupervised learning scenarios, including classification, regression, and dimensionality reduction. The focus lies on kernel based learning which is especially suitable for modeling highly non linear relationships. Finally, we introduced some existing approaches to represent molecules and crystals for machine learning.
