(Un?)likely connections: transport, scattering and inverse problems in computer graphics, computer vision, optics and electron microscopy with a pinch of signal processing for good measure

Different communities have been looking at similar problems in different yet consistent ways: namely transport and inverse transport processes in light and electron transport. Usually there is a hierarchy of models that are appropriate under different conditions and approximations. In this talk, I am aiming to connect the major concepts, models and representations used in the different communities, show their conditions, and connect to my own past work.
