Green Family Lecture #1: The mathematics of percolation (at UCLA Mong Auditorium)

Hugo Duminil-Copin
The University of Geneva

In this talk, we will explain how mathematicians study statistical physics models describing porous media. These models, called percolation models, have found numerous applications in different fields of science, and have become a fundamental object of study in probability theory.
