Sapphire System Architecture

Chandrika Kamath

Sapphire is an object-oriented toolkit for mining scientific data from simulations, observations, and experiments. In this talk, I will describe the diverse data mining needs of our applications and illustrate how the Sapphire system architecture was designed to meet these needs. I will also discuss some of the non-mathematical lessons learned from our experiences.
