On Tuesday, April 17, the 2018 RSA Conference announced the recipients of awards for Excellence in the Fields of Information Security, Mathematics, Public Policy and Humanitarian Service.  These awards are given to those who have proven to be exemplary leaders and role models in the aforementioned fields.  IPAM would like to especially congratulate Professor Rafail Ostrovsky (UCLA) who is being honored for Excellence in the Field of Mathematics. Ostrovsky has been a long-standing contributor at IPAM, participating as both organizer and speaker for numerous long programs and workshops since 2004.  According to the RSAC website, Ostrovsky, along with Professor Ran Canetti (Boston University), is honored for groundbreaking, influential work on Novel Models and Protocol Notions for Secure Computation Tasks.  Further details and a full list of awardees can be found here.
