Stacey Beggs, IPAM’s Assistant Director, was presented with UCLA’s Green Gala Award for her work on sustainability at UCLA’s Inaugural Green Gala on May 23rd. Under Stacey’s leadership, IPAM is UCLA’s first zero-waste facility as the entire campus works towards its goal of zero waste by 2020. This award is a point of distinction and pride for what Stacey has accomplished, and visiting scientists, campus departments, and guests have applauded her efforts. Stacey’s dedication to and influence on the UCLA community as an advocate for sustainability initiatives has been impactful on both large and small scales, and we are so proud that she received the recognition that she deserves!
