We will offer tutorials in the first week of the program, giving an introduction to the relevant problems as well as to the relevant mathematical and computational concepts. The goal is to familiarize participants with the necessary modeling techniques (in particular the techniques they are not experts in themselves) and simultaneously with associated research topics. Of particular interest will be combinations of multiple (multi-scale) modeling techniques aimed at solving important scientific problems.
