In this tutorial talk, I will give an introduction to some related multiscale methods. The tutorial will cover homogenization methods, numerical homogenization methods, and multiscale finite element methods. In homogenization, I will show a few examples and show the derivation of homogenized equations. Based on these results, numerical homogenization methods will be presented. I will finish with an introduction to multiscale finite element methods.
