Aerospace RIPS Team Delivers Presentation at ION GNSS Conference
On September 10, the 2013 Aerospace RIPS team delivered a presentation entitled “Fast Generation and Tracking of GNSS Visibility and Dilution-of-Precision Regions Using Level Set Methods” at an Institute of Navigation (ION) conference, held in Tampa, FL. The RIPS presentation was well attended and well received by an international audience representing Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Several staff members from Aerospace’s Engineering and Technology Group and Space Systems Group were there to support the RIPS students.
Dr. John Nielsen (Session co-chair) introduced the presenters: Nora Stack, Walter Cai, and Scott Manifold. (Their fourth teammate Ana Perez-Gea was unable to participate.) At the presentation’s conclusion, they fielded several questions from an audience that was fully engaged and inquisitive about level set methods and their application to the GNSS system performance domain.
