Yann LeCun

Geoffrey Hinton, Yann LeCun and Andrew Ng are featured in a Fortune magazine article entitled “The AI Revolution: Why Deep Learning Is Suddenly Changing Your Life.” Programmers, like Hinton, LeCun, and Ng, have revolutionized artificial intelligence technology in both industry and academia by feeding computer learning algorithms involving terabytes of data, which in turn allows the computer to figure out how to recognize objects, words or sentences. The three were organizers of IPAM’s 2012 summer school on Deep Learning. LeCun is also on IPAM’s Science Advisory Board and has participated in many of our programs as an organizer and speaker.
